PUl-E-ALAM (PAN): Provincial women affairs department revealed on Tuesday voter registration centres for female did not exist in four district of the central Logar province.
Raisa Shema, head of Logar women affairs department said a large number of women were deprived of getting voter cards in the province.

PUL-I-ALAM (PAN): A rebel was killed and four civilians were wounded in a militant attack on a wedding party on the outskirts of Pul-i-Alam, the capital of central Logar province, an official said on Saturday.
The incident took place on Friday evening when the insurgents attempted to kidnap an Afghan National Army (ANA) official who was attending the marriage party in the 2nd police district in Pul-i-Alam, the governor’s spokesman said.

4 injured as rebels fire at wedding guests

GARDEZ (PAN): An Afghan military commander on Monday claimed a group of Pakistani Taliban tasked with carrying out attacks in central Logar province had been eliminated.
The Afghan National Army’s 203rd Thunder Military Corps commander, Gen. Mohammad Sharif Yaftali, told local and foreign journalists the group had been sent to Logar by the Pakistani Taliban leader, Hakimullah Mehsud.

PUL-I-ALAM (PAN): A suicide bomber ploughed into a police vehicle in the central Logar province on Tuesday evening, killing three civilians and two members of Afghan Local Police (ALP), an official said.
The attack took place around 5:00pm in Pul-i-Alam, the provincial capital, near the former police headquarters, injuring eight policemen, including a commander, the Logar crime branch chief said.
