Pol-e-Alam :
Pol-e-Alam is the capital of Logar province. The district of Mohammad Agha lie to its north, Paktia province to its south, Khoshi district to its east and Maidan Wardat situated to its west while Baraki Barak and Sarkh districts lie to its southwest.
Pol-e-Alam is divided into five municipality districts while each municipality district has its own council.
Resident of Pol-e-Alam are mainly associate with the agriculture profession where they have vast orchards of apples and grasps.
 
Mohammad Agha:

Niaz Mohammad Amiri:
 
Son of Haji Qalandar, Niaz Mohammad Amiri was born in the Deh Yak district of southern Ghazni province in 1960.
 
He completed his primary education at his hometown and earned his bachelor degree in political science from Davat University of Kabul.
 
He migrated to neighboring Pakistan after the soviet invasion of Afghanistan and was affiliated to Ittihad-i-Islami party, led by former Jihadi leader and contender of upcoming presidential elections, Abdul Rab Rasoul Sayyaf.
 

 
 
Logar Province has 456, 800 square kilometers area. Logar is located 65- kilometers to the south of Kabul. The city of Kabul is siutated toward it north, Paktia to its south, Nangarhar to its east and Maidan Wardak Proivince is situated to its west. A strip of Gazni Province touches Logar.  Pashtun, Tajik and Hazara tribes reside in the province.
It merits mention that Logar was a part of Kabul Province until 1964, however the same year it got the status of a separate province. Formerly, Logar was known as Loy Ghar.

PUL-I-ALAM (PAN): People of Logar warn that insecurity in the province gaining momentum by each passing day, sparking chaos and mayhem among the residents.
Haji Mohammad Sadiq, tribal elder and a resident of Pork village said that they lead a tough life amid deteriorated security and multiple challenges. He went on to say that gunmen roam without fear in the area and the insecurity led people to become mentally ill.

 
 
Pol-e-Alam (PAN): Logar authorities claim that implementation of various developments and reconstruction projects have helped developed the province.
For the last one decade, the province witnessed completion of some development projects, the officials said.
Logar Governor’s Spokesman Din Mohammad Darwish says: “Projects pertaining to agriculture, education, health and other sectors have been completed during the last decade in the province, which helped facilitate people of the area”.

 
 
PUL-I-ALAM (PAN): Spokesman Logar education department said that the vital education sector achieved visible progress in his province since last one year.  Muhammad Shahpur Arab, spokesman of Logar education department said that his province has 85 schools for girls among a total of 266 schools. He said that 68 of them are high while the rest are primary and secondary schools.

 
Pol-e-Alam (PAN): The vital agriculture sector faces tremendous challenges mainly insecurity that followed by outdated agriculture system, which negatively impact the economy of Logar, officials said.
Engineer Humayon Umar,  Logar agriculture department head said as many as 80% economy of Logar people depends on agriculture and livestock but they confront with enormous challenges as how to remove obstacles to bolster their crops.
He admitted that formers still face a host of problems despite introducing some sort of development in agriculture sector.
 

 
PUL-I-ALAM (PAN): Taliban members, pretending to be local policemen, have embarked on robberies and extortion in areas where the NATO-backed force has been deployed, the governor of central Logar province alleged on Sunday.

Youths Coordination Cultural Association:
The Logar Youths Coordination Cultural Association is the first civil society institution to be established in 2007. The association strives to build strong coordination among youths. It is working to promote youth related activities in the province.
 
Association of New Youths:
The Association of New Youths is functioning in Logar. It is working to enhance the education sector and promote youth affairs. It has tens members.
