PUL-I-ALAM: (Pajhwok): Three Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers wounded when militants stormed polling stations in the Barakibarak district of central Logar province, officials said Saturday.
Brig. Gen. Abdul Hakim, provincial police chief, confirmed militants attacked polling centers late last night in Bari Kala and Doshanbi areas of the district.
He said polling centres in Saidan and Owni areas also came under attacks but he had no reports of any causality.

 
PUL-I-ALM (Pajhwok): Locals complained on Saturday the voter registration centre had been closed in the capital of central Logar province, but officials pledged the centre would reopen on Sunday (tomorrow).
Residents of Pul-i-Alam said people from far-flung areas were coming to get their cards but the centre had been closed for the last several days.
Mohammad Ishaq told Pajhwok Afghan News he had been waiting since morning in front of the registration centre, but the office was still shut.

 
PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): Women activists on Monday underlined the need for security around polling stations for female voters in central Logar province.
At a meeting on public awareness, participants said a large number of women were interested in voting for candidates of their choice in the April 5 elections.
A resident of Pul-i-Alam, Rana Sadiqi, told Pajhwok Afghan News she wished to vote in the polls but ensuring security for polling sites was essential.
