Haji Muhammad Akbar Stanikzai is the son of Ghulam Farouq. He is born in 1980 in the center of Logar Province. His mother language is Pashto but he also speaks Dari and English. Stanikzai completed his primary education at Ahmadya Padkhwab Shana School of Logar in 1993. He graduated from the Imam Husain Bibi Ayesha Sediqa High School in Peshawar, Pakistan in 2003. He is currently in his first year with the Law faculty of Dawat University in Kabul. Stanikzai is the head of the Stanikzai Tribal Council and he directed of Farooq Stanikzai Logistic and Contract Company from 2004 to 2011.

Alhaj Shakila Hashimi is born in 1968 in the center of Logar Province. Her mother language is Dari but she speaks Pashto and English. Hashimi completed her secondary education at the Professional School of Women in Kabul in 1995. She earned her bachelor degree in medicine--- as an ultrasound technician--- from a university in Pakistan in 2002. During the Taliban period, Hashimi conducted ultrasound courses and was a master trainer on 35 courses supported by the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF). She was one of the first women to perform ultrasound diagnostics in Afghanistan in 1998. She also worked at the Wahaj Private Diagnostic Hospital. From 2002 to 2005, she was head of the Women’s Council in the seventh district in Kabul Province and from 2003 to 2005. She was deputy of the Women’s Section on the International Commission of Human Rights, a nongovernmental organization based in Pakistan. Hashimi was elected to parliament in 2005 and she participated in the Emergency Loya Jirga in 2002 and the Constitutional Loya Jirga in 2003. She lost her teenage daughter when insurgents attacked her home in Kabul in 2006.

Haji Ali Muhammad is the son of Haji Aziz Mohammad. He is born in 1953 in the center of Logar Province. His mother language is Pashto but he speaks Dari. Muhammad graduated from the 12th class of Kalengar High School in Logar Province in 1973. Muhammad is a former jihadi commander. He was also the director of the Muhmad Hospital in Kabul, where he worked from 1992 to 2009. He owns a business importing German vehicles and also a construction company, which he established in 2002. He was elected to parliament in 2005.

Eng. Sahib Khan is the son of Mohammada Jan. He is born in 1957 in Darki Khil village in the Azra District of Logar Province. Khan speaks Pashto and Dari. Khan graduated from Rahman Baba High School in 1974. He has a bachelor degree in Forestry and Horticulture from the Agriculture Program at Kabul University in 1978. He has taken many agricultural, business, training, management, and social courses. From 1985 to 1987, Khan was the Afghan refugees’ village representative for the International Rescue Committee (IRC) in the Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. From 1989 to 1998, he supervised bee keeping training for the IRC in six provinces of Afghanistan. From 2000 to 2001, he served as a bee keeping consultant and training supervisor with the Danish Committee for Aid to Afghan Refugees (DACAAR) in Laghman and Ghazni Provinces. From 2003 to 2006, he was an agronomist coordinator for an International Medical Corps (IMC) emergency program in Wardak Province. From 2006 to 2010, he worked as a project agronomist and field manager with DACAAR in Laghman, Ghazni and Paktia Provinces.
