KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): Presidential runner Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai on Friday vowed to transform southern Kandahar province into a transit trade centre.
Addressing an election rally here, Ahmadzai promised to construct water dams to promote agriculture in the province if he won the April 5 vote. He would also build a railroad in Spin Boldak road.
After coming into power, the ex-finance minister said he would implement the multi-billion dollars Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline project, known as TAPI.

 
KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Residents on Wednesday complained they were failing to obtain voter registration cards due to insufficient staff at the provincial Independent Election Commission (IEC)’s registration centre in the capital of southeastern Khost province.
They said there were only two officials issuing voter cards to people and the pair had been unable to deal with so many individuals visiting the office.

 
KHOST CITY/LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Presidential candidate Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai on Saturday promised a campaign rally he will construct an international airport and the Khost-Ghulam Khan Road in southeastern Khost province if won the April vote.
Campaigners for the former finance minister said nearly 40,000 people attended the rally held at a cricket stadium in Khost City.

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Thousands of people, mostly youth, held a gathering in southeastern Khost province, vowing support to front-line presidential candidate Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai.
Arranged by a youth organization in direct cooperation with lawmakers from the province, the gathering was attended by around 2,500 people in Khost City, the provincial capital.
One of the organizers, Ilyas Wihdat, said the youth were a section of the society more enthusiastic to take part in the April elections than others.
