Governor Abdul Jabar Naeemi, a resident of the Panjwai district of southern Kandahar province was born in 1967.
He earned primary education in Kandahar and higher education in neighbouring Pakistan when he was living as refugee there.
As other Afghans, he immigrated to Pakistan when the soviet troops have invaded Afghanistan. He worked as a diplomat at the Afghan Consulate in Pakistan in 2002 and as first secretary in Afghan embassy in Islamabad during ex-president, Prof. Burhanudin Rabbani era.
Naeemi was President Hamid Karzai’s electoral campaign in charge in Pakistan during presidential polls in 2004.
Later, he was assigned as the governor of central Maidan Wardak province and then as governor of Khost province.
Naeemi has the membership of Mahaz-i-Millie party of Afghanistan, who can speak by Pashto, Dari, English and Urdu.
