KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): Islamic scholars in southeastern Khost province on Thursday said women had the right to take part in the ongoing election process.

KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): A US diplomat on Tuesday said no one has the right to interfere in Afghanistan’s internal affairs and the April elections, which she called an Afghan-owned and independent process to decide the country’s fate.
During a visit to southeastern Khost province, Karin Decker, High Representative of the US State Department to southeastern Afghanistan, met with Khost governor Abdul Jabbar Naeemi and civil and military officials, the governor’s house said in a statement.

KHOST CITY (PAN): The Independent Election Commission (IEC) office on Wednesday said only 30 percent of 65,000 people registered to vote in the April elections in southeastern Khost province were women.

 
KHOST CITY (PAN): Up to 65,000 people, including 15 percent women, have received voter cards in southeastern Khost province, an official said on Tuesday.

 
KABUL (PAN): The governor of southeastern Khost province on Saturday said 13,000 acres of land had been retaken from grabbers, who continued to stay in illegal possession of another 33,000 acres.
Addressing a daylong conference in Kabul, Governor Abdul Jabbar Naeemi highlighted the challenges and requirements of the province, where land grabbers are seen to be hampering development.
