KHOST (Pajhwok): Youth on Saturday thronged many polling centres, dancing to drumbeats in southeastern Khost province, where all polling sites open.

The voting process in Khost kicked off at around 7:00 am, with provincial officials claiming the turnout was massive.
Eid Gul, a resident of Khost City, said he had voted in the larger interest of his country and hoped his vote would not be misused.
He told Pajhwok Afghan News: “We wish this round is more transparent than the first round and our ballots end up in safe hands and not tampered with.”
Another resident, Mohammad Zaman, said he was very happy that Afghanistan was observing a historic peaceful transfer of power from one elected president to another.
“We braved bomb attacks and other threats to exercise our constitutional right so we hope people’s votes are respected,” he said.
Governor Abdul Jabbar Naeemi cast his vote at the provincial Labour and Social Affairs Department in the morning. He said all polling centres were open across the province and there was no security threat. 
The governor said the turnout was more satisfactory than the previous round in far-flung districts.
All 186 polling centres set up across Khost would stay open, security officials said.
