KABUL (PAN): The Wolesi Jirga on Wednesday took strong exception to the Attorney-General Office’s decision on putting five its members on the Exit Control List (ECL) for their alleged involvement in corruption and misuse of their positions.

KABUL (PAN): Elaborate security plans have been chalked out for next year’s elections to thwart “regional plots” to sabotage the process, senior security officials told the upper house on Tuesday.
The plans involving personnel of all security organs would be implemented in phases, Chief of Army Staff Gen. Sher Mohammad Karimi, Deputy Interior Minister Abdul Rahman Rahman and the deputy head of the National Directorate of Security said.

KABUL (PAN): Pakistan’s spy service is sending its agents to Afghanistan with Taliban’s support for attacks on national forces, top security officials informed the Meshrano Jirga on Tuesday.
Chief of Army Staff Gen. Sher Mohammad Karimi told the upper house Pakistan had been intensifying interference in Afghanistan since the inception of the reconciliation campaign.

KABUL (PAN): The Attorney-General Office (AGO) on Tuesday announced putting five Wolesi Jirga members on the Exit Control List for their alleged involvement in corruption and misuse of their positions.
 

HERAT CITY/KABUL (PAN): A woman legislator from western Herat province has died along with two children in a road crash in neighbouring Iran, officials said on Monday.
Wolesi Jirga member Shahnaz Himmati was a killed late on Sunday evening when she was on her way from Karaj city to Tehran, a public representative from Herat, Khalilullah Shahidzada told Pajhwok Afghan News.
