The capital Kabul is located in the central Afghanistan. According to the Ministry of Mines and Petroleum (MoMP), Kabul province is rich in natural resources. The most popular mines of the province are copper, talc, ruby and marbles.

According to MoMP, Kabul has the following natural assets:

1- Missjawhar copper mine:

According MoMP, this mine is 1.5 metres to 32 metres thick and 150 metres long.

KABUL (PAN): Residents of northern districts of Kabul expressed satisfaction over the security situation while people of the four eastern districts were concerned about what they termed “growing insecurity.”
Acknowledging security challenge in some district, Kabul police headquarters said they had launched series of steps to ameliorate the situation.

KABUL (PAN): Lauding the implementation of rehabilitation projects, residents of Kabul city, however, complained that rehabilitation projects did not take place to the extent the locals were expected.
It merits mention that Kabul city witnessed both private and government sector rehabilitation programs in large number.
The city has 22 municipality districts where large scale construction of housing schemes and shopping malls such as Shahrak-e-Arya, Saleem Karwan, Shadab Zafar and several others took place during the past decade.

KABUL (PAN): Though some tangible progress has been achieved to promote the education sector in parts of the capital city, residents of some districts complain the vital sector is still facing a host of problems including shortage of efficient and professional teachers and lack of facilities for teaching staff.
Kabul city has a large number of education centres where a private Maaraf Shahri city education is working to enhance promote education in the private as well government sectors.

KABUL (PAN): Economy of Kabul people mainly depends on trade and employment in urban areas while residents of suburbs are associated with the occupation of agriculture and livestock.
Kabul city is divided into 22 municipality districts. It has five million populations.
In addition, Kabul province has 15 districts where one million people are living in these districts.
