JALALABAD (PAN): Tribal elders, influential figures, youth and civil society activists on Sunday announced the Woles Ghag Jirga (Voice of People) in the eastern zone.

 
JALALABAD (PAN): Residents of the Chaparhar district of eastern Nangarhar province complain of a shortage of health facilities, including medicine and professional doctors.
Located 25 kilometres south of Jalalabad, the provincial capital, the district has long been in the grip of militant-linked violence. Dwellers say they are faced with numerous problems that tend to stay unresolved.

 
JALALABAD (PAN): Pakistani has been aiding insurgents in eastern Nangarhar province directly and indirectly, a senior police official alleged on Sunday.
Deputy police chief, Col. Masoom Hashimi, told Pajhwok Afghan News during an interview that Pakistani intelligence agencies and other forces had lately increased their assistance to fighters in the province.

JALALABAD (PAN): A power extension project, costing $1.5 million, which would benefit 5,000 residents, was launched on Tuesday in the Sorkhrod district of eastern Nangarhar province. The problem of pylon installation works from the Naghlu dam in Ozbin area was resolved by Kabul governor, Nangarhar Governor Gul Agha Sherzai, said at the project launching ceremony.
