GHAZNI CITY (PAN): A female lawmaker was injured and her daughter killed on Wednesday when suspected insurgents opened fire at their vehicle on a highway in southern Ghazni province, officials said.
The upper house member, Rooh Gul,  was travelling with family in a car on the Herat-Kabul highway when came under attack in an area situated between the Gilan and Maqur districts, Ghazni deputy governor Mohammad Ali Ahmadi told Pajhwok Afghan News.

 
GHAZNI CITY (PAN): The United States, not interested in an end to the war in Afghanistan, is funding Taliban operations against the government, the Ghazni appellant court chief alleged on Saturday.

 
Ghazni (PAN): Two district chiefs were wounded in a roadside bombing in the southern province of Ghazni on Sunday, an official said.
Haji Fazal Ahmad and Sher Khan Yousafzai, administrative heads of Deh Yak and Zankhan districts respectively, were injured during the explosion in Khushk area at 4.00pm.

 
GHAZNI CITY (PAN): The Ghazni governor on Saturday asked the Taliban to shift their political office from Doha to the southern province, serving as the current capital of the Islamic civilisation. 
Addressing a meeting of the Tribal Solidarity Council, Musa Khan Akbarzada said the insurgent movement should ponder over his proposal if it was really interested in peace negotiations.
