امرخيل: اگر طالبان از جنگ دست نکشند کشته خواهندشد

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok): The newly-appointed police chief for southern Ghazni province on Wednesday asked the militants to shun the insurgency or be ready for being targeted.
Brig. Gen. Aminullah Amarkhel issued the warning during his introduction ceremony in Ghazni City, the provincial capital, this morning.
“If the Taliban continue shedding the bloods of innocent people in Ghazni, we would eliminate all of them,” he said, urging the people to support their security forces to improve the situation.
He said the militants, who recently overran Kunduz City for three days, would never dare attack Ghazni City as long as people stood by the security forces.
Ali Ahmad Mubarez, Ghazni National Directorate of Security (NDS) chief who also participated in the ceremony, pledged support for the police headquarters in improving the security situation.
“I direct my staff to kill the foreign puppet trained in Pakistan who have turned their guns at the Afghans. No insurgent should be spared after being captured, because it is a disrespect to people’s bloods,” Mubarez said.
Provincial Council Chairman Khaliq Dad Akbari said Ghazni residents would fully swing behind the security forces.
The appointment of the new police chief comes as the Kabul-Kandahar highway has been blocked for three days by the militants and heavy fights has been ongoing in Nani, Shahbaz and Nooghai areas.
