KABUL (PAN): Senior government officials Tuesday urged the masses to go to polling stations and cast their votes without any fear, as stringent security arrangements would be in place on Election Day.

GHAZNI CITY (PAN): Taliban insurgents, who have vowed to disrupt the presidential and provincial council polls slated for Thursday, are going from door to door to collect voter registration cards from residents of Gilan district of southern Ghazni province.

KABUL (PAN): The National Democratic Institute (NDI) said on Sunday it was conducting an international election observation mission for the presidential and provincial council elections, slated for Thursday.

JALALABAD (PAN): Five days ahead of the presidential and provincial council elections, a day-long workshop featuring tribal elders and religious scholars from the eastern Kandahar province began in Jalalabad Saturday morning.

KABUL (PAN): Education Minister Farooq Wardak has asked all staffers of his ministry and students to cast their votes in the presidential and provincial council elections, scheduled for Thursday.
