KANDHAR CITY (PAN): More than 150 of the 643 polling centres proposed to be set up in the southern zone, comprising five provinces, will stay closed on Election Day (August 20) for security reasons.

GHAZNI CITY (PAN): Top officials including the governor Tuesday claimed security had been strengthened for the upcoming polls in the troubled southern province of Ghazni, but the Independent Election Commission (IEC) said it could not open 33 polling centres due to insecurity.
