KABUL (PAN): The European Union (EU) on Wednesday called on Afghan presidential candidates for the April 5 elections to put human rights on top of their political agenda.

 
KABUL (PAN): The Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Tuesday said more high and elaborate security arrangements had been put in place for next year’s elections than taken for the 2009 vote in most parts of the country.
MoI spokesman Siddiqui Siddique told a news conference in Kabul the election process had been hitch-free so far and that the ministry had devised a comprehensive plan for maintaining security in most areas of the country.
