KABUL (Pajhwok): Protesting Kochi Wolesi Jirga candidates on Saturday rejected the result of their constituency and alleged that 70 percent votes of Kochi constituency were rigged and fraudulent.
Addressing reporters here, around 28 Kochi candidates and their supporters rejected the result announced by the Independent Election Commission (IEC) on January 14.

KABUL (Pajhwok): Some unsuccessful Wolesi Jirga candidates from capital Kabul on Wednesday warned of widespread protesta if their demands concerning the initial election results were not addressed.
They welcomed the Independent Electoral Complaints Commission’s (IECC) earlier decision of invalidating all Kabul votes.

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Supporters of winning Wolesi Jirga candidates on Wednesday closed the provincial Independent Election Commission (IEC) office in northern Balkh province and stopped the recount process of dubious votes.

KABUL (Pajhwok): Protesting Wolesi Jirga candidates from Baghlan, Takhar, Badakhshan and Kunduz provinces on Sunday warned they would not allow the presidential election in their areas if their demands were not met.
More than 20 Wolesi Jirga candidates from the four northern and northeastern provinces shared their complaints with media persons at a press conference in Kabul.

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): Protesting Wolesji Jirga candidates in northern Balkh province say the Independent Election Commission (IEC) has not yet delivered on its promise of recounting votes in suspicious ballot boxes.
The candidates, who held a gathering in Mazar-i-Sharif, the provincial capital, on Saturday warned they would take to the streets if their demands were not met.

HERAT CITY (Pajhwok): Residents and some Wolesi Jirga candidates on Saturday rallied in western Herat province and vowed not to partake in the presidential election if the Independent Election Commission (IEC) did not recount votes cast in the Wolesi Jirga polls.
The protesters said only biometric votes were credible and demanded recount of all votes cast in the Oct 20-21 parliamentary elections.

KABUL (Pajhwok): Some Kuchi tribe Wolesi Jirga candidates said on Tuesday warned of launching a protest movement if alleged rigging in their constituency was not investigated.

TALOQAN (Pajhwok): Hundreds of women on Sunday staged a protest demonstration and erected a tent in front of the governor’s house in northeastern Takhar province against rigging in the Oct 20 Wolesi Jirga elections.

LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): A number of Wolesi Jirga candidates from southern Helmand province on Saturday erected a protest tent in front of the Independent Election Commission (IEC), asking the government to recount the votes of the province by election workers from another province.

KUNDUZ (Pajhwok): A large number of women on Wednesday gathered outside the Independent Election Commission (IEC) office in this capital city of northern Kunduz province to demand audit of votes.
One of the protesting women, Murtazai Rustami, who is a candidate in the Wolesi Jirgaelections, said their main demand was separation of fake and real votes.
