KABUL (Pajhwok): The Presidential Candidates’ Council has accused Ashraf Ghani and Dr. Abdullah Abdullah electoral teams of fraud in the last month presidential election, saying a million votes cast are invalid.
The council members held a joint press conference in Kabul, in which presidential candidates Rahmatullah Nabil, Ahmad Wali Massoud, Mohammad Shahab Hakimi, Faramarz Tamanna and Enayatullah Hafiz were present.

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Saturday said that six biometric sets and SD cards have been missing and some IEC employees are being introduced to judicial organs in this regard.
The IEC said two million and 695 thousands vote were cast in the presidential election on September 28 while 9.6 million individuals have been registered for the election across the country.

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Independent Human Right Commission (AIHRC) says its members have not been included in some provincial chapters of the electoral watchdog.
Based on the election law, AIHRC says, of every three members of the Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC), one should be from the rights panel.

KANDAHAR CITY (Pajhwok): The Independent Election Complaints Commission (IECC)’s regional office in southern Kandahar province says it has received 106 complaints about the Saturday’s presidential election.
Ashan Gul Bandawal, IECC head for Kandahar, told Pajhwok Afghan News that 75 complaints have been registered at polling stations by their observers.
He said the rest of the complaints have been registered by a number of other election watchdogs which have offices in capital Kabul.

KABUL (Pajhwok): Presidential candidate Rahmatullah Nabil on Tuesday said the presidential election might not produce a clear winner and the ballot could go to a second round.
Terming Saturday’s election as full of rigging, the candidate emphasized on validity of biometric ballots.
Nabil, a former spy chief, told a press conference in Kabul said one vote had been sold for $120 to $180.

KABUL (Pajhwok): Six out of 13 presidential candidates on Sunday said they would not accept Saturday’s presidential election result for what they alleged widespread rigging by the ruling contenders.
Thirteen individuals contested the election amid tight security measures and threats from Taliban insurgents to attack polling stations.

Facebook pages associated to Torsan, a presidential hopeful, have attracted special attention for its negative propagation against other runners.

KABUL (Pajhwok): The process of voting in the presidential election began one or two hours late in Kabul and several other provinces on Saturday.
Earlier, the Independent Election Commission (IEC) had announced the voting would begin at 7:00am and continue till 5:00pm.

Earlier, 18 individuals had registered as presidential candidates but three candidates joined others by retreating from contest while Mohammand Hanif Atmar halts his campaign.

KABUL (Pajhwok): Experts suggest fake news and photographs of presidential candidates from unknown sources should be prevented because such news hurt people’s trust and confidence.
The upcoming presidential elections are scheduled for September 28.
Eighteen individuals first nominated themselves for the election, but later three joined other teams while presidential candidate Mohammad Hanif Atmar has called off his campaign and the remaining candidates are contesting for the presidency.
