KABUL (Pajhwok): Presidential hopeful and former intelligence Chief Rahmatullah Nabil holds his first election campaign gathering on Saturday and pledged to bring back security and justice to the country if his team emerged victorious in elections.

The Justice and Security election team’s head added Afghans sacrificed their lives for peace but today strangers decided the fate of Afghanistan in Qatar.
Presidential elections campaigns began across the country on last Sunday and will continue for two months, according to the IECC.
About 18 candidates, including President Ashraf Ghani and his Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, are in the run for September 28 ballot. The Security and Justice Team held its first election campaign gathering in Kabul in Loya Jirga hall in which around 2,500 people took part in the event.
Referring to the Taliban the former intelligence chief said: “If I don’t consider you my brother and you don’t consider us your brother while the country is our mother, then let’s join hand for the protection of our motherland as it was facing danger.”
He added peace could be ensured when the Taliban set with the people of Afghanistan in Pamir, Kandahar, Bamyan and any other part of the country.
“Peace cannot come if you talks with the foreigners and then claim that you defeated the US. You should know that foreigners may face you with another tragedy which will lead to the destruction of Afghans homes and make them empty hands and stomach,” he said.
He said: “We want Afghanistan known in the news headlines for its hospitality and beauty not for suicide blast, bombing and other unfortunate incidents.”
Nabil said he nominated himself as presidential hopeful to bring back the lost security and justice in the country.
He accused the incumbent government on insecurity, prejiduce, harming unity among people, forcing migration of youth and not generating employment opportunities.

“Afghans have built more than half of the foreign countries and are desperate to build their own country as well but insecurity don’t allow them,” he remarked.
He said every corner of the country is a treasury and believed if the country is stable and secure the minerals of Badakhshan, copper of Logar, grapes of Shamali, Pomegranate of Kandahar and pistachio of Badghis and Faryab would earn it values and the country would prosper.
Nabil made it clear that the people of Afghanistan have no animosity with any country, adding the protection of national interest and country’s defence was the right of every Afghan.
“If someone offer flower to us we will respond with flower but if someone offer poison we will respond with poison,” said the head of Security and Justice Team.
He warned security forces should not be used for election purpose and demanded insurance for the life of security personnel which according to him is possible if the natural reservoirs of the country is exploited in a transparent and proper manner.
He said three million youth in the country addicted to drugs and there was urgent need to address this issue. He said youth and ulema should not be used as tool for campaign, adding that they should be facilitated.
