Paktika province is located toward the southeast of Afghanistan. It merits mention here that the people of the strategically located Paktika had been playing a highly significant role in defending of their motherland.
Paktika shares borders with Ghazni in the north and northwest, while it touches Zabul and Baluchistan province of Pakistan and it shares a long border with the militants-infested North and South Waziristan to the south and southeast.

SHARAN (PAN): A new prosecutor on Tuesday promised all-out efforts at dispensing speedy justice, enforcing rule of law and eradicating corruption from southeastern Paktika province.
In an exclusive interview with Pajhwok Afghan News, the incoming prosecutor said his top priority was to implement the law and raise awareness about rule of law among people and judicial officials.

Uprooted from Gayan district around a month back, the families have moved to the Argun district’s Manda area.

SHARAN (PAN): A newly-constructed small water dam and a canal were inaugurated in Sharan city, the capital of southeastern Paktia province, on Wednesday, an official said.
A Central Asia Development Group (CADG) representative Akhtar Mohammad Tanai, said the projects included the construction of a 400-metrs canal and a small dam.
