KHOST CITY (PAN): Khost Governor Abdul Jabbar Naeemi has accused the Ministry of Defence (MoD) of blocking development and reconstruction projects in the southeastern province.
In an exclusive interview with Pajhwok Afghan News, Naeemi blamed the ministry for creating hurdles to the implementation of development projects in the province, bordering Pakistan.

KABUL (PAN): In order to ensure security and implement a presidential decree, vehicles and motorbikes without legal documents would be confiscated in southeastern Khost province, officials said on Friday.   
The governor's spokesman, Baryalai Rawan, told Pajhwok Afghan News that Governor Abdul Jabbar Naimi took up the issue with representatives of showrooms at his office in Khost City, the provincial capital.

KHOST CITY (PAN): A prisoner was beaten nearly to death in custody by intelligence officials at a detention facility in southeastern Khost province, the victim's family and a medical officer claimed on Thursday, but the allegation was rejected by officials of the provincial National Directorate of Security (NDS).

KHOST CITY (PAN): The provincial council in southeastern Khost province on Monday threatened to stage a protest and block roads if construction work on the Khost-Gardez highway did not resume soon.

KHOST CITY (PAN): The former head of the Khost provincial council’s administrative board on Sunday rejected last week’s election, insisting that they were still members of the body.
The board election was held after a two months delay on last Thursday in the absence of four members.  Dawood Shah Makeen was elected as the board’s head, Jan Mir Zazai deputy head and Zuhra Jalal speaker council.

KHOST CITY (PAN): The Tribal Solidarity Council in southeastern Khost province on Thursday urged the armed opposition to participate in the upcoming elections.
The call came at a meeting attended by more than 300 tribal elders, religious scholars and youth at the council's office in Khost City, the provincial capital.
