KABUL (Pajhwok): Meshrano Jirga members on Sunday called adherence to Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)’s high morals as the only way to get resoled the country’s problems and insisted on announcement of the presidential election results as soon as possible.

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Germany-based Dermalog Company has shared information regarding over 137,000 quarantined votes and about 86,000 invalidated voters with the Independent Election Commission (IEC) and hopes their explanation will satisfy the election body.

 

KABUL (Pajhwok): Pajhwok Afghan News reliably learned on Wednesday that the votes of 8,494 polling stations will be audited and recounted.
According to a document, most of the identified polling stations that will be audited and recounted are in the following ten provinces.
In Kabul 1,197 polling stations,  in Nangarhar 841, Kandahar 783, Paktia 740, Baghlan 722, Helmand 542, Paktika 407, Ghazni 402, Khost 350 and in Badakhshan 322 polling stations.

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Stability and Partnership ticket led by presidential candidate Dr. Abdullah Abdullah on Wednesday said there were ‘four types’ of fraudulent votes which the team said needed to be cleaned before starting the vote recount process.

 

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Tuesday could not start the process to audit and recount votes due to differences between its commissioners.
IEC Commissioner Maulana Abdullah Facebook handler wrote that the recount of votes should be started after the fate of  102,012 votes cast before and after the official time and 137, 630 quarantined votes was decided.

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Election Commission (IEC) says that more than 400 biometric voter verification (BVV) devices are missing or broken and the issue would be dealt based on the type of cases.

 

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Election Oversight Network (EON) on Monday said postponement of the announcement of preliminary result of presidential election would raise doubts on the credibility of the process.

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Election Commission (IEC) has failed to determine the exact number of voters who participated in the presidential election during a period of month

 

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Election Commission (IEC) says 427,000 doubtful names were removed in late July this year from the voter list to ensure the transparency of the presidential election.
