KABUL (Pajhwok): Pajhwok Afghan News has obtained complete information from the Independent Election Commission (IEC) regarding the 102,012 votes cast outside the official polling time.

 

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Election Commission (IEC) invalidated the votes of 1,190 polling stations out of 2,423 polling stations which were referred for a special recount and audit, a statement said on Saturday.

 

KABUL (Pajhwok): Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Thursday said discussions with election teams and their representatives were on about resuming the votes recount and audit process which stopped in seven provinces due to oppositions by some candidates.
Acting spokesman of IEC, Zabihullah Sadat told Pajhwok Afghan News that the votes audit and recount process of 1,274 polling stations in seven provinces has stopped.

KABUL (Pajhwok): Pajhwok Afghan News has obtained information from the Independent Election Commission (IEC) and other sources about a difference of approximately 137,000 voter records between the number of biometric datasets registered on the IEC computer server and the number of voters processed by the voter verification devices used at the polling stations on Election Day.

Addressing reporters after the EU Council of Foreign Affairs, she said the EU discussed post-presidential election situation in Afghanistan.

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Tuesday sought time from presidential candidates to let it complete the vote recount at 8,000 polling stations, reiterating that only biometric votes would be considered valid.
Hawa Alam Nuristani, IEC chief, told a press conference here that only votes of biometric devices would be counted as valid.
