NEILI (Pajhwok): Residents of central Daikundi province are complaining about the shortage of voter registration centers, saying women and people with disabilities are unable to register and vote in the upcoming presidential election due to impassable routes.

 

KABUL (Pajhwok): With delay in supply of materials affecting the voter registration drive, the Independent Election Commission (IEC) on Thursday hoped the process would get in full swing in days to come.

 

BAMYAN (Pajhwok): The remoteness of voter registration centers, wide-spread rigging in the Wolesi Jirga elections and lack of trust over the Independent Election Commission (IEC) are to blame for lack of people’s interest in the upcoming presidential election in central Bamyan province.
Earlier, the Independent Election Commission (IEC) announced launching a 20-day voter registration process for the Sept 28 presidential election.

On Saturday, the Independent Election Commission (IEC) announced launching a 20-day voter registration process for the Sept 28 presidential election.

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): The Independent Election Commission (IEC) regional office in northern Balkh province said on Tuesday around 400 people have registered as voters over the last four days in the province for the upcoming presidential election.

KABUL (Pajhwok): A foreign member of the Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC), while heading the poll panel of Ghana, allegedly committed fraud and violated procurement laws in contracts, Pajhwok Afghan News has learnt.
In line with the election law, two members of the IECC should be foreigners who would share their experiences with local commissioners for free and fair polls and would bring their expertise into practice for transparent polls.
