"کميسيون انتخابات، به تمام نگرانى هاى نامزدان جوابده مى باشد"

KABUL (Pajhwok): Independent Election Commission (IEC) officials on Monday said sensitive election materials have so far reached provincial capitals from 356 districts of the country and their transfer from other districts was in progress.
Habib Rahman Nang, IEC secretary, told a press conference here that electoral materials from 356 districts of the country had been so far transferred to provincial capitals through land and air and the materials transfer from other districts was still underway.
He said all sensitive electoral materials would be transferred to capital Kabul with support of Afghan security forces.
“There is no polling station about which the IEC has not received information,” Nang said.
He said that 7,500 result sheets from polling stations had reached the IEC office online.
No candidate has the right to announce the election results because only the IEC has that responsibility, he added.
Initial results of the election would be announced on October 19 after reviewing and addressing electoral complaints, he said.
The Independent Election Commission (IEC) says that more than two million votes were cast at 3,736 polling centres in 29 provinces of the country.
The Saturday’s presidential ballot featured 13 candidates including President Ghani and CEO Abdullah.
