KABUL (PAN): President Hamid Karzai has signed a presidential decree on the appointment of a new presidential spokesman, an official said on Tuesday. Waheed Omar, a former campaigner for President Hamid Karzai in the August 20 presidential elections, was appointed presidential spokesman in compliance with a presidential decree No. 339, a source at the media office of President's Office told Pajhwok Afghan News. Omar replaced Hymayun Haneedzada, who had been appointed as deputy finance minister, the source said. Waheed Omar has served as spokesman for the campaign office of President Hamid Karzai and director of a government-run media centre. ma
