BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): An uprising group in the Sheikh Ali district of central Parwan province has claimed seizing an explosives-laden vehicle.
Muhammad Yasin Subhan, commander of the group, told Pajhwok Afghan News his men impounded a vehicle full of explosives in the Danarkh locality of the district.
Three people including Zalmai, Muhammad Noor and Matin, travelling in the vehicle, had been detained, he added.
The vehicle was parked at Kabul-Bamyan Highway before being handed over to the security forces.

BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): Officials and residents of central Bamyan province alleged an influential, Haji Ayan, along with other commanders have grabbed hundreds of acres of state land.
Eng. Khadim Hussain Fitrat, the mayor of Bamyan City, the provincial capital, told Pajhwok Afghan News on Monday that Ayan and his colleagues had started offering plots for sell grabbed by residents of the area.
The residents said that Ayan had the grabbed state land and was planning to develop a township and then offer for sell.

BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): Civil society activists and residents of central Bamyan province on Sunday rallied against the killing innocent people in violent incidents and demanded strict security on highways.
The protestors, condemning last week’s killing of eight people, including four women, in the Gilan district of southern Ghazni province, warned the government of civil disobedience if it failed to ensure security.  

BAMYAN (Pajhwok): Tayyeba Khawari, first female headed provincial council in central Bamyan province, said on Thursday that women had been playing a highly significant role in Afghanistan and she would prove that women could perform their duties efficiently as men.
Khawari was sworn-in as Bamyan provincial council head last week by winning five out of nine votes.
In an exclusive interview with Pajhwok Afghan News, she believed women could deliver more than their current symbolic roles in Afghan society.
