PULI KHUMRI (PAN): Most of the Baghlanies eke out their livelihood by working in industries, agriculture, orchards and livestock.
The booming factories offers vast working opportunities for a portion of people in the province and the economy of industrial workers seen grew up during the past year.

PULI KHUMRI (PAN): Admitting that insecurity is still haunting some parts of the province including Baghlan Jadid, governor of Baghlan said security and law and order had been improved during the last five years in the area under his command.
Offering details of security parameters, Baghlan Governor Sultan Muhammad Ibadi claimed writ of the government had been established in Baghlan’s 14 districts. He said government functionaries could now easily travel to any part of the province with a single escort.

PULI KHUMRI (PAN): Though the rehabilitation projects are underway in the province, Baghlan governor alleged the previous administration did not properly implement the rehabilitation policies.
Baghlan Governor Sultan Muhammad said 4,000 small projects of dams, schools, clinics, protecting walls, bridges and roads had been completed in different districts of the province during the past five years. He expressed concern by saying large scale projects could not be completed by the previous administration, which would help generate more employment opportunities.

1- Tanweer Television:

The only television in Baghlan province--- Tanweer Television-- attracts a large number of viewers. Founded in 2012 in Puli Khumri city, the owner of the television is Sher Mohammad Jahish while its in charge is Obiduallah Jahish.
It broadcasts programs from 06:00 am till 01:00 am. It transmission range is said to be 40 kilometers in Puli Khumri city and surrounding district of Dushi, and DihnaGhori.
The television has 15 employees with three of them are female.

1- Baghlan Youth Development and Social Organization:
Established in 2006, the Baghlan Youth Development and Social Organization is striving to promote cultural sector in larger interersts of youth.

The Astana Art Association is founded in 2006 in Baghlan. The association is striving to promote poetry and art in the province.

5 – Abdul Satar Efat:
Elected Senator:
Son of Mohammad Alim, Abdul Satar Efat was born in Shorab village in the Dahna-i-Ghori village of northern Baghlan province in 1959. He is a high school graduate and served as Jihadi commander, district chief, brigade commander and senator during Jihad against the soviet troops. Efat has the membership of Maulvi Khalis Branch of Hezb-i-Islami of Afghanistan in the past.

Baghlan provincial council has 15 members. Three members are from the previous term while the rests are new faces.
1- Dr. Mohammad Safdar Mohsini:
Dr. Mohammad Safdar is the son of Mohammad Mohsin. He was born in 1975 in Deh Salah district. He had studied medical science from Balkh University and worked in public health office of Baghlan.

The northern province of Baghlan along with Pul-i-Khumri city comprises 15 administrative units.
1 – Pul-I-Khumri City:

Baghlan is among the northern provinces of the county with its capital city is known as Pul-i-Khumri. The province lies on Kabul-North highway, which connects nine provinces to each other. Pul-i-Khumri was known as Pul-i-Khumari in the past and is known as an economic hub.

Sultan Mohammad Ebadi Son of Abdul Wadood, Sultan Mohammad Ebadi was born in 1962 in Yaftal district of Badakhshan. He is graduated from high school in his native district while completed his higher education from History Department at Dawat University in Kabul.
While young, he was political affiliation with the Jamiat-i-Islami party and took part in Jihad against Soviet invasion in 1981. He came to Kabul when Mujahedeen took over in 1992. He started working as a colleague with the ambassador of Saudi Arabia.
Ebadi served as Presidential Palace security chief in 1993.
