KUNDUZ (Pajhwok): The revenue of Sher Khan Port in northern Kunduz province has decreased 200 million afghanis due to prolonged election process, insecurity and delay to form the central cabinet, officials said Tuesday.
Shahabuddin Bawar, director of Sher Khan Port, told Pajhwok Afghan News the port’s revenue had reached 700 million afghanis last year while this year it only touched the figure of 500 million afghanis.

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): More than 400 welfare projects have been implemented in northern Kunduz province, which would help resolve some long-standing problems of thousands of residents, officials said Monday.
Officials of the rural rehabilitation and development (RRD) said that 435 welfare projects have been implemented during the ongoing year that helped benefit more than 200,000 residents.

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): At least 12 police officers and have been detained in connection of different charges, including supporting militants and kidnappers, in northeastern Kunduz province, an official said Saturday.
Governor Mohammad Umar Safi told Pajhwok Afghan News after noting surge in kidnapping cases, the officials adopted measures to identify reasons behind increase in abduction.

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): The governor of northeastern Kunduz said on Monday a strategy was needed to deal with dozens of Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) members in the province.
Governor Mohammad Omar Safi, during an exclusive interview with Pajhwok Afghan News, said nearly 70 ISIS militants had started activities in Dasht-i- Archi and Chardara districts.
Dasht-i-Atchi has been turned into a training centre for Taliban, Jundullah and the newly arrived ISIS insurgents operating in Kunduz, Takhar, Baghlan, Badakhshan and Faryab provinces, he said.
