KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Citing officials’ inefficiency after the falloff Dashti-i-Archi districts and some other parts of the northern Kunduz province to Taliban, Provincial Council (PC) members stressed that strategy should be worked out to regain control of the areas, which were under militants’ sway.
It merits mention that Dashti Archi district had fallen to Taliban last month but the government could not take back control of the district.

KUNDUZ (Pajhwok): Hundreds of residents in northern Kunduz province on Thursday staged protest condemning recent Pakistan rocket firing on border areas.
The protesters, consisting of residents, lawmakers, provincial council members and civil society activists also demanded the Afghan government to suspend political relations with the neighboring country.
Earlier reports said that Pakistani military has fired rocket attacks where residents of eastern Kunar and Nangarhar provinces have been affected.

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): The governor of northeastern Kunduz province has said tens of militants forced their way to join the Islamic State (IS) who have been captured by Taliban members in Dashti Archi district after the death of Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar.
Kunduz Governor Mohammad Omar Safi told a news conference said a group of 60 rebels who refused to operate under the newly appointed Taliban leader Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansoor were arrested by Taliban members.

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): Officials on Thursday said that parts of Qalazal district of northeastern Kunduz province have fallen to militants but rebels suffered heavy casualties during the firefight.
The district chief Mahbob Ullah Sayedi told Pajhwok Afghan News hundreds of militants from Chahardara district and Gortapa area launched attacks on Qalazal district.
He said that the fight was continue from the past three days as some parts of the district were fallen to militants.
