Farah (Pajhwok): Education sector in Farah has remarkably developed during the past decade but the vital sector still faces problems that need to be addressed without further delay, official said.
Engineer Mohammad Sabir Faroqi, acting director of the education department told Pajhwok Afghan News a total of 114, 000 students were enrolled in Farah Schools with 38, 000 among them were females.

FARAH CITY (PAN): Majority of Farah residents depend on agriculture and livestock to feed their families but most of the farmers complain of facing problems such as lack of irrigation water, cold storages facilities and appropriate market for their products.  
Agriculture:
Engineer Abdur Rahman Matin, acting director of Agriculture and Livestock Department of Farah Province told Pajhwok Afghan News more than 80% people of the province had depended on agriculture and cultivation.

FARAH CITY (PAN): Keeping in mind a better tomorrow, residents of western Farah province expressed optimism to take part in the upcoming elections but a number of them said deteriorated security would hamper people’s participation in ballots.
A group of some residents said they did not want to cast their votes for the next president.
A school teacher: I will vote because education sector witnessed considerable improvement during the incumbent government:

FARAH CITY (PAN): Complaining of a host of problems, residents of Farah province said they had been facing growing insecurity, administrative corruption, lack of development projects, joblessness and closure of a number of schools.
“We have never spent a day happy during the past ten years because of infighting and clashes all the time,” said, Abdul Wadood, a resident of Balablok district.
He said armed groups were roaming in the district in large number who most of the time got engaged in skirmishes with the security forces but civilians suffered casualties in the fight.

FARAH CITY (PAN): The people of Farah demanded the government to help bolster security, provide electricity, construct dams and build health facilities in the province.
They underlined the need the government should extend its all out support to address the legitimate issues being confronted to the restive region.
Abdul Hamid Hamid, provincial council member of Farah told Pajhwok Afghan News the prime and main demand of the people was that security should be made impregnable.
