Governor of Herat, Sayyed Fazlullah Wahidi is the son of Sayyed Mohammad Akbar. He is born in 1951 in Surkhrod District of eastern Nangarhar Province.
He completed his primary and secondary education in Nangarhar High School. He earned his bachelor from Kabul University, Education Faculty in 1979.
In 1992, he studied political vocational courses in Germany’s Christine Albert University. Wahidi served as finance officer for the Nangarhar Canal Project, secretary Canal Project, administrative manager for Medicines Sans Frontiers (MSF) in Pakistan, administrative manager for Mujahideen Doctors Association in Pakistan, Director for a German charity NGO, Director of AGHCO, Director of ANCB and as member of World Civil Society Forum (WCSF) and International Council of Voluntary Agencies (WCSF).
From 2008 to June 2013, he was governor of eastern Kunar Province. Currently, he is the governor of western Heart Province.
