LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): Ballot boxes from 13 polling centres in southern Helmand province have been quarantined, an official of the electoral watchdog said on Saturday.
Rahim Gul Alikhel, the IECC chief for Helmand, told Pajhwok Afghan News they had received nine complaints from different parts of the province and eight from Kabul.
After investigating the complaints, the commission had quarantined votes from the 13 polling centres, he said. Some objections are still being evaluated.
The quarantined ballots had been cast at polling stations in Musa Qala, Greshk, Nad Ali and Marja districts, Alikhel added.
