KHOST CITY (Pajhwok): The Independent Electoral Complaints Commission in southeastern Khost province has found no evidence of rigging after recounting 10 percent of votes, officials said on Wednesday.
Khanzada Afghani, the IECC provincial chief, told a press conference that votes cast at eight polling stations had been tallied again accordance with directions from the head office.
He said only 20 votes cast for Ashraf Ghani, which were unlawfully nullified by polling station staff, had been added to the candidate’s tally.
