Haji GhulamSarwarFaiezborn in 1970 in Abkamari District of the province, Faiez is the son of Abdul Ghafar. Faiez primarily completed his secondary education in a religious seminary “DarulUloom” in Pakistan. He earned his bachelor degree in Islamic Sharia from Egypt’s Al-Azhar University. He then got his master degree in Law from the Institute of Study and Research from Cairo, Egypt. His mother language is though Dari but he speaks Arabic and English. Back in 1998 to 2000, Faiez was a lecturer at Herat University. His name was floated to be the director of the Appeal Prosecution Office in province but the nomination did not take place. In a USAID-funded, Faiez discharged his duties as a provincial council trainer for IRD in capacity of legal advisor for the NedaeZan Women’s Training Project. In 2004, he worked as senior teacher and trainer for the Certificate in Information Technology (CIT) and CORE programs for computer literacy. From 2002 till 2011, Faiez has the responsibility for the media department of a Saudi Arabian aid organization. He has also served as a regional director of the Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) program at the Ansari Rehabilitation Association for Afghanistan. He was a project manager for the Hakim Sanai Development Project’s professional and literacy training program. In 2011, Faiez worked at the Kabul office of Children in Crisis where he was a regional manager for teachers’ training.

11-Said Muhammad Musa Janab

Said Muhammad Musa Janab is born in 1963 in the center of the province, Said Muhammad Musa Janab is the son of SayedFarid-u-din. He belongs to a religious family, and he is associated with a religious NaqshbandiyyahTariqa (Sufism). He was a teacher of Islamic studies. In 1979, Janab graduated from the Islamic Neamati Madrasa in Badghis province. His mother language is Dari but he speaks Turkish and Arabic. Janab was head of the Electoral Complaints Commission (ECC) in Badghis province during the 2005 election.

SafiaAymaq is born in 1966 in Qala-e-Now District of the province, Aymaq studied at the Badghis Teacher Training Institute in 2005. She speaks Dari, Pashto, and English. Aymaq was a teacher in Badghis province at the central Girls High School for 18-long years. After that, she became the director of Administration and Finance in the Badghis Provincial Governor’s office for six years but the 2010 elections prompted her to resign in an apparent attempt to contest in the polls. Aymaq participated in the Constitutional Loya Jirga in 2003.

13-Alhaj Qazi Abdul Rahim

AlhajQazi Abdul Rahim is born in 1961 in ChashmeDuzdak village of the Qala-e-Now district, Rahim is the son of Abdul Raouf. Rahim completed his primary and secondary education at his hometown. After the conflict in Afghanistan, he completed his Islamic studies at the Imam Abu Hanifa Islamic Madrasa in Kabul in 2006. He then received his diploma from the Teacher Training Institute of Badghis in 2007. He speaks Dari as well as Pashto and Arabic. During the jihad period, he was a member of the Jamiatb Political Party; however, he is now an independent member of the parliament. He served for 18 years as a prosecutor until he became the head of the CRCS in 1992. Rahim also served as director of the Committee of the Red Cross Society (CRCS).
