"راديوى داعش درننگرهار از مرکز نظامى خارجى ها نشرات دارد"

KABUL (Pajhwok): Some Wolesi Jirga (WJ) or lower house members on Wednesday alleged the Islamic State (IS)’s Radio Caliphate was airing its broadcasts from a foreign forces base in the capital of eastern Nangarhar province.
Allah Gul Mujahid, a lawmaker from Kabul province, claimed Radio Caliphate was operating from the Jalalabad airport and demanded the creation of a delegation to inform the president and investigate the issue.
Mujahid and other lawmakers said Daesh or Islamic State and the Taliban were the enemy of Afghanistan and should be eliminated.
On Tuesday, Meshrano Jirga or upper house members expressed their deep concern over “Radio Caliphate” in eastern Nangarhar province and demanded an immediate halt to its broadcasts.
According to reports, the radio has been airing anti-government programmes over the past two weeks. The radio broadcast facility is believed to be in lawless tribal areas of Pakistan.
Wolesi Jirga’s second deputy speaker Mohammad Nazir Ahmadzai said the house security commission had been tasked with investigating the existence of Radio Caliphate in foreign forces base and briefing lawmakers about the outcome of its investigation.
Earlier, Attaullah Khogyani, the Nangarhar governor’s spokesman, had said they shared the issue of IS radio with security officials and according to their information, the radio was broadcasting from across the Durand Line.
