Jawzjan public reps indifferent to address problems

SHIBERGHAN (Pajhwok): Some public representatives of northern Jawzjan province in Wolesi Jirga and provincial council were leveling allegations against each other of not interested to address problems of their constituencies.
A provincial council member, Firoza Quraishi, said she was serving people of her constituency irrespective.
In his chat with Pajhwok Afghan News, she added: “I am public representative and will continue to serve them.”
However, she criticized some Faryab MPs in lower house by alleging that they did not care to attend regular meetings of the house and pay no attention to resolve problems of the people.
Fahima Sadat, a member of lower house had rarely participated in meetings in the capital Kabul, she alleged.
But Sadat said provincial council members should work within areas of their constituency and sever masses without their political affiliation.
Jawzjan provincial council head, Maulvi Abdul Hai Hayat, confirmed some of his colleagues were violating the rules by visiting Kabul without seeking permission of the council.
There was no coordination among MPS and provincial council members of the province, which led to creating problems among them, he added.
