PUL-I-ALAM: (Pajhwok): Three Afghan National Army (ANA) soldiers wounded when militants stormed polling stations in the Barakibarak district of central Logar province, officials said Saturday.
Brig. Gen. Abdul Hakim, provincial police chief, confirmed militants attacked polling centers late last night in Bari Kala and Doshanbi areas of the district.
He said polling centres in Saidan and Owni areas also came under attacks but he had no reports of any causality.
Militants’ tactics would not work to derail election process by staging attacks, he said, asking people to vote as all security measures had been adopted to protect the ballot.
