Arsala to revive peace talks if elected

KABUL (Pajhwok): The National Commitment to Salvage Afghanistan (NCSA), an alliance of several political parties, on Monday announced its support for Hidayat Amin Arsala in the April presidential vote.
At a meeting, attended by disqualified presidential candidates, declared Hidayat Amin Arsala a suitable and qualified contender for the presidency.
Salman Ali Dostzada, a member of the alliance, said: “We have same goals and views regarding the situation in the country. And that’s why we have decided to back Arsala.”
The NCSA is a newly formed alliance, trying to combat corruption, ensure rule of law, prevent human rights violations, protect women and minimise chances of fraud in the polls.
Earlier, the Jirga-e-Fikar aw Amal, led by former interior minister Ali Ahmad Jalali, Sibghatullah Mujaddedi, Pir Gilani, Anwar-ul-Haq Ahadi and Hanif Atmar had announced their support for Ashraf Ghani.
