At a gathering of more than 150 people at this capital city urged the president for giving attention to the problems being faced by the youth and women.
"Currently, only ten percent of the government staff is women and it should be increased to 40 per cent," Nadira Gaya, head of the women affairs department said.

A member of the Communication and Cooperation Centre for Afghan Youth, Abdul Ahad, meanwhile, blamed the officials concerned for making false claims of job opportunities to the youngsters.
Governor Eng. Muhammad Omar, who dismissed the claims by the youth and women, said a large number of female workers had been appointed on important positions in government departments, but most of the females remained absent from their jobs. "Sixty percent of the staffs had been youth," he added.
