Edu director accused of moral corruption

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (PAN): The education director for northern Balkh province was accused on Saturday of administrative corruption and abusing female employees of the department.
At a press conference in Mazar-i-Sharif, the provincial capital, former deputy director of education Zainab Azizi leveled the allegations against Qais Mohraeen.
She said: “One of my colleagues once came to my office and started crying after the director asked her to visit him on Friday (a closed holiday in Afghanistan).”
Refusing to name the complainant, Zainab Azizi alleged blasted the director for misbehaving with women workers of the department. Mohraeen had also misappropriated funds for schools’ capacity building.
But the director rejected the claim as groundless, warning of referring Azizi to the attorney office. He said Azizi had been fired for incompetency in line with Governor Atta Mohammad Noor’s decision.
