Former Ghazni PC member wounded in Taliban attack

GHAZNI CITY (Pajhwok):  A former provincial council member of southern Ghazni province was wounded in militants attack in Ghazni City, the provincial capital, on Saturday, the governor’s spokesman said.
Shafiq Nang told Pajhwok Afghan News the incident took place in Refugees Township in Ghazni City at noon.
He said Hamida Gulistani, former provincial council female member, was shot at with a silencer pistol by militants. The rebels, however, managed to escape the scene after attack.
A resident of the area Ali Mohammad said that two masked motorcyclists opened fire on Gulistani when she came out of her brother’s house. Police arrived 20 minutes later after the incident happened, he added.
Baz Mohammad Himat, director Ghazni Civil Hospital, confirmed receiving Gulistani but stated she was in stable condition.
Taliban usually target government officials in Ghazni province.
