60 disabled persons trained in Ghazni

GHAZNI (Pajhwok): Sixty disabled persons, including females, have completed several vocational courses in southern Ghazni province, officials said on Sunday.
Funded by the Swedish Committee for Afghanistan (SCA), the courses included tailoring, carpentry and furniture making, said Fateh Khan, SCA official in Ghazni.
He said the trainees were distributed certificates on completing the nine-month courses and were also financially supported in launching their own businesses. He said more special people would be provided similar trainings in future.
Nargis Haqmal, who taught tailoring to six disabled women, said the trained persons could now support their families.
Mohammad Nabi, who received training in carpentry, said after his father’s death, he was the only bread-winner for his family. “I won’t face difficulties now like I did before.”
