Call for early end to electoral deadlock

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Rights and Justice Party on Saturday demanded the presidential contenders to respect the constitution and accept final results of June 14 runoff election.
Hamidullah Farooqi, the party spokesman, told reporters delay in election results was negatively impacting the entire nation. The Rights and Justice Party was against the inordinate delay of election process and called for end to the electoral impasse, he added.
He said the reservations of both candidates regarding fraud in the runoff election were addressed in the audit process and there was nothing left for allegations. Farooqi stressed upon the resolution all issues within the constitutional framework. 
He demanded President Hamid Karzai, the Independent Election Commission (IEC) and both candidates to respects constitution and votes of the people in larger national interests.
