SAR-I-PIUL (Pajhwok): Eight election workers and several observers have been surrounded by militants for three hours in the Sancharak district of northern Sar-i-Pul province, an official said on Saturday.
The workers have been encircled in Deh Murda area, 60 kilometres from the provincial capital, according to IEC official Abdur Rahman Farid, who said, adding they had asked security forces to rescue election staff.
