پروژه هاى انکشافى در ساحات ناآرام کندز متوقف است

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): The residents of several areas in northern Kunduz province complained that construction work on some uplift projects had been stopped due to presence of militants and deteriorated law and order.
Mohammad Naib, the resident of Dasht-i-Archi district, said since six months no development projects could be initiated in the district. Some projects had been executed in the area in past.
Two months earlier, Taliban have captured the district and was still under their control.
Zabihullah, the inhabitant of Chardara district, said most of the roads and culverts had been damaged by fighting.
But head of the Rural Rehabilitation and Development department said as many as 33 uplift projects had been completed in the Khanabad, Aliabad, Chardara, Qala-i-Zal and Imam Sahib district which benefited 75,000 families.
Sibghatullah Nazari said the projects included graveling of 24 kilometres road, construction of 124 culverts, digging of 39 wells and supply of electricity.
In the future, he pledged seven social centers and 100 retaining wall would be built in 33 villages under the National Solidarity Program (NSP)
