والی كندز: طالبان بعدازمرگ ملاعمر به دودسته تقسیم شده اند

KUNDUZ CITY (Pajhwok): The governor of northeastern Kunduz province has said tens of militants forced their way to join the Islamic State (IS) who have been captured by Taliban members in Dashti Archi district after the death of Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar.
Kunduz Governor Mohammad Omar Safi told a news conference said a group of 60 rebels who refused to operate under the newly appointed Taliban leader Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Mansoor were arrested by Taliban members.
“Three days ago, you witnessed an internal clash among Taliban in Dashti Archi district where some of them wanted to change their loyalties after the death of Mullah Omar,” he said.
He said that competitions among militants have intensified and hoped they would shun insurgency and join the peace process. The death of Mullah Omar had created divisions among militants and they would be divided into more parts, Safi added.
“The people of Kunduz never accept Mullah Mohammad Akhtar Mansoor as the leader of Muslims, because Akhtar is the killer of Afghans and his identity is also unclear,” he said.
