KABUL (Pajhwok): Parties engaged in the presidential election process say their personal lives were attacked and their privacy violated by a number of candidates, media and social media users, demanding prevention of the norm.

KABUL (Pajhwok): The two-month long electoral campaign period for Saturday’s presidential election will come to an end tonight, the Independent Election Commission (IEC) said on Wednesday.
Abdul Aziz Ibrahimi, IEC spokesman, told Pajhwok Afghan News no candidate would have the right to campaign beyond midnight tonight and legal action would be taken against offenders.

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Independent Electoral Complaints Commission (IECC) on Saturday said it has registered 46 complaints so far against presidential candidates.

TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): In violation of the election law, some government officials were seen taking part in a Sunday election campaign gathering for President Ashraf Ghani in central Uruzgan province.
The gathering in Tirinkot, the provincial capital, was organized on Sunday and besides influential local persons, elders, common people and some government officials were in attendance.

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Election Oversight Network (EON) on Thursday questioned ‘whether peace or election is a priority’, claiming the two ruling electoral teams were using government resources.
Officials of the Election Oversight Network, a coalition of several election oversight institutes, on Thursday organized a press conference about peace and election.
