1. Center:
Taloqan is the capital city of Takhar Province. The strategic Kunduz-Badakhshan Highway passes through the city. A vast part of the province covered by Kokcha and located at the border of Tajikistan comprised Dasht-e-Qala, Yangi Qala, Darqad, Khaja Bahauddin, Khawaja Ghar and Rostaq Districts.
2. Dasht-e-Qala:

Abdul Latif Ibrahimi:

Son of Sher Khan, Abdul Latif Ibrahimi is born in 1957 in Imam Sahib District of northeastern Kunduz province. He completed his primary education at his home district and then graduated from high school in Kunduz city.

He received his BA in Sharia Law from Kabul University in 2012. He then served as head of Imam Sahib District from 1989 to 2000.

TALOQAN (PAN): An agriculture warehouse was inaugurated in northeastern Takhar province on Wednesday, an official said.
The facility in Qalbars area of Taloqan would enable farmers to store their products and sell them at the right time, the agriculture director said.
Mohammad Salim Sayee told Pajhwok Afghan News the warehouse cost $90,000, with farmers contributing $10,000.

TALOQAN/KUNDUZ (PAN): A newly-constructed building for Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB) branch was inaugurated in northeastern Takhar province on Tuesday, an official said.
The two-storey building has security cameras, eight administrative rooms, a conference hall, a treasury and other allied facilities, said Shafiqullah Shafique,
DAB director for the northeastern zone.

TALOQAN (PAN): Sixteen drug smugglers were arrested and hundreds of kilograms of narcotics seized in northeastern Takhar province over the past month, an official said on Sunday.
Police chief Col. Abdul Hanan Qataghani told a news conference that smugglers and illegal armed groups posed a threat to the security situation in Takhar and could disrupt the elections process.

TALUQAN (PAN): A blast inside a hotel killed one policeman and left 15 others, mostly civilians, injured in the Khwaja Bahauddin district of northern Takhar province on Wednesday, officials said.
The explosion that took place around 1pm apparently targeted the Afghan Local Police (ALP) members in a hotel in the district centre.
