CHARIKAR (PAN):Parwan province is located 60 kilometers to the north of Kabul, sharing borders with Kapisa, Baghlan, Panjsher, Maidan Wardak, Kabul and Bamyan provinces. The province has 10 administrative units including the provincial capital.
Government employee says he has lost trust in elections:

 
CHARIKAR (PAN): Amid dilapidated condition of agriculture and education sectors, residents of restive Parwan are in grip of growing insecurity and complete breakdown of law and order.    
ParMuhammad Shafiq, a resident of Bagram districts said unemployment, insecurity, administrative corruption were among the major problems being faced by the people of the province. 

 
CHARIKAR (PAN): The residents of central Parwan province demand of the government to explore job opportunities, disband armed groups and tackle rampant administrative corruption.
 
Abdul Saboor, a resident of the capital city of Charikar urged the government to ensure rule of law and merit policy in recruitment for government jobs.
 
Talking to Pajhwok Afghan News, he complained most of the university and school graduates were facing unemployment amid growing administrative corruption.
 

CHARIKAR (PAN): Parwan residents said Taliban have very little presence in the province but existence of armed men fueling insecurity in parts of the volatile region.
 
The province experiences greater presence of anti-social and armed elements--- a factor causing civilian casualties most of the time. The armed men are said to be the guards and supporters of MPs, warlords and Jihadi commanders.   
 

CHARIKAR (PAN): Parwan Governor said there was dire need to launch more rehabilitation projects in some areas of the province, adding provincial authorities had completed development projects worth $700 million in the region.
 
In his chat with Pajhwok Afghan News, Parwan Governor Abdul Saboor Salangi said a decade ago, most of the schools had no buildings but buildings for 210 schools had been completed including other projects during the rehabilitation process.
 

CHARIKAR (PAN): Provincial education authorities admitted the vital sector was facing immense shortage of professional teachers and other direly needed stuff, saying the sector could not be developed on modern lines. 
Zalmai Shaheed, head of Parwan education department said as many as 410 schools were  operational in the province out of which 159 were high, 126 intermediate while the rest 125 were primary schools. He said at least 812 female and 4, 867 male teachers impart education to 128, 070 boys and 77, 165 girls’ students. shamble

CHARIKAR (PAN): The economy of the residents of central Parwan province mainly depends on agriculture, gardening and livestock, officials and residents said.
 
Parwan is located 60 kilometers to the north of central Kabul province from where a lot of vegetables and fresh fruits are being exported to the capital. Officials said 80 percent economy of the population depends on agriculture and gardening with a number of them associate with profession of livestock and trade.
